Visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia-Mr Hugh Borrowman to project area’s RDPR

On 14th July 2013, Mr. Hugh Borrowman, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia visited Quang trach district Education Center for Children with Disabilities. This is one of two centers in Quang Binh which are supported by Quang Ninh Rural Development and Poverty Reduction (RDPR)’s projects and funded by Australian Embassy.

In 2012, as proposed by RDPR, Australian Embassy in Vietnam has funded construction cost for  rehabilitation practice room for disable children in Rehabilitation Center for Disable children in Hien Ninh commune in the amount of 240 million VND, and boarding rooms for the Education Centre for disable children in Quang Trach district with the amount of 293 million VND.

During the visit of the ambassador at Quang Trach education center for disable children, the director and teachers of the center thanks to the Australian Embassy and RDPR in supporting timely center to build boarding rooms while this center were facing difficulty in facilities, especially boarding rooms for students living far away the school.
