Popularising the Decision 33 of the Government about resettlement for ethnic minorities

From 14 to 18 December 2010, 07 key farmer groups organised to popularise the basic contents of Decision 33 of the Government regarding the supporting policies for implemetation of resettlement for ethnic minorities in the period from 2007 to 2010 at the villages of Truong Xuan and Truong Son mountainous commune.
In the period from 2007 to 2010, resettlement must be completed in entire country for ethnic minorities households who are still nomadic and have shifting cultivation habits, 70% of concentrated resettlement area must have enough essential infrastructure that are suitable with general planning including: road, electric and small irrigation works, classrooms, nursery schools, community houses and other essential works, 100% of ethnic minority normadic households are resettled as planning and have houses, housing land, production land and clean water, over 70% of household use power and fresh water; at the resettlement areas, there is not any hungry households and number of poor households will be reduced 2-3% per year .etc.
At the joined resettlement areas, commune’s budget will be supported with 20 million VND per household from State’s budget for compensation of housing and production land of local residentals that being withdrawed to hand over for resettled househouses as stipulation, the remaining will be used for upgrading the essential infastructure of the commune, applying new tcchniques and varieties in production in the first three years with 30 million VND per village. Each resettled househoulds will be supported directly 15 million VND for building their houses, production, buying food in the first six months when they come into resettlement areas and clean water. Concrete support for each household and purpose will be regulated by provicial people’s committee.
